“Look up! It’s a Beautiful Life…” (from our new song “Beautiful Life” by ALIZMA).

We are Aleksandra, Izabela and Monika, professionally known as ALIZMA.
Though seemingly identical we are yet so very different from each other. Aleksandra is the oldest (about 3 min older than Izabela and 6 min older than Monika).  We think of her as being independent and an observer. She considers herself a Visionary.  Izabela is the free spirit of the three. She is not afraid of the unknown and always spontaneous. She calls herself Creative! Monika is the youngest and she’s usually considered to be the Sweetheart of the group. She is sensitive, intuitive and the most organized out of the three. Don’t let the Identical Triplets Factor fool you!

Our mom Halina was our first inspiration, teaching us songs before we could even walk and introducing us to the world of music at the early age of three.  However we’ve always believed that we had formed our musical group even younger, while in our Mother’s womb! At just six years of age, we entered a Music School in Zagan, Poland, where we studied violin, music theory and played in the school’s orchestra. We next continued our music education at the Podwale Music School in Wroclaw, Poland. Ten years later, at age 16, we were performing on Polish national television, featured on such shows as “Szansa na Sukces”, “Na Kazdy Temat”, “Piknik Country”, “Super Express”, and “Kurier News”. Together with the School Symphony Orchestra we toured Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom.

Being born as triplets, sharing the same interests, friends, and activities was an integral part of our lives. However, at the age of fifteen our parents sent us to the United States of America, where we were split up and studied at three different High Schools living with American host families each in a different state.  After a year spent apart, we reunited back in Poland, continuing our music studies and attending Sigma Law-Economic High School in Wroclaw.  Back in Poland, the three of us had realized that we had fallen in love with America, and convinced our parents to let us go back to the United States.  With the help of two wonderful American families, we returned to the US and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in Wilmington, Delaware.

While at Mount Pleasant High, we went to the school’s career center and met with a representative from Shenandoah University, who invited us for an audition.  We each performed individually and were all awarded full four-year scholarships to Shenandoah University in Virginia.  At the University we studied violin, voice, and piano and played in the University’s Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. To widen our musical horizons we became members of Harambee Gospel Choir and joined the Shenandoah University Dance team which allowed us to gain dance and choreography experience.  While at SU, we studied Business and Entertainment and graduated with Bachelor’s degrees of Science in Arts Management/Music.

After graduation, we moved to Los Angeles, California.  Excited about the move and wanting to make new friends, we went to the Polish Catholic church and introduced ourselves to the community.  Everyone welcomed us warmly and shortly we were invited to perform at the Annual Christmas Concert for the whole Polish community. Los Angeles no longer felt that big anymore.  A Polish piano professor at Azusa Pacific University, whom we met through the church, invited us to learn more about the university’s music program.  We each auditioned and received full scholarships to the Azusa Pacific University’s graduate program.  Two families affiliated with the University volunteered to help us and invited us to stay and live in their homes. We studied violin with professor Charles Stegeman and played in the University’s Symphony Orchestra.  The three of us graduated with Masters Degrees in Violin Performance.

After graduation, we moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.  Excited about the move and ready to begin full-time performing careers, we visited many of the local booking agencies.  We selected Farrington Productions as our direct booking representative and performed all over Las Vegas at various galas and corporate events.  Our local notoriety grew and with the help of our nationally televised performance on “America’s Got Talent”, we have been booked all over the United States and the World.

Most recently we have toured Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany, and Brazil as well as numerous places in the United States. Some of our most memorable performances include: The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., Disney Hall in Los Angeles, National Anthem for the Lakers at the Staples Center, The Academy Awards Governor’s Ball, the Opening of the Rose Bowl Parade with Leann Rhimes, and a Christmas Performance for the Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden.  We have also tremendously enjoyed the opportunity to share the stage with Kenny Loggins and George Wallace, opening for both their shows. Presently, we continue to entertain audiences ranging from a few hundred to over 20 thousand.

With extensive studies in theoretical knowledge and more than 18 years of classical training at some of the finest music schools in Poland and the United States we combine vocal performance with violin improvisation. We are currently working on our first official album and pursuing our passion of song writing. We have already written many songs and are looking forward to spending a lot more time in the studio continuing to develop our new creations.  We are very much anticipating the birth of our first album and invite you to check out samples of our latest music at www.alizma.com.

God bless you,

ALIZMA
